I am head over heels for that film feel, and I drink way too much green tea because I tried to replace my coffee addiction. I married the love of my life in May of 2021, Nikita, and we welcomed our son into the world in April of 2022, so we are living life hard and fast right now. I am lively, but it takes me a minute to warm up because I need that genuine connection, that authenticity. I love shitty reality television. Yes, I watch the Bachelor and Married at First Sight. I just love love, okay! When I am home, I am either singing to my son (usually a totally made up song) or I am trying to figure out how to make my cabinets look as nice as all those dumb tik-toks and reels.
My Why
My name is Sarah Louise, and I named my business after my namesake and grandmother. She always believed in me, my creativity, my art and my passion, and she's a huge reason I became a wedding photographer. My grandparent's taught me the value of fleeting moments and how important photographic memories are. I grew up looking at old photos of them as children, and I cherish the photos I have now that some of my grandparents have moved on. I want everyone to have those beautiful memories. I shoot in a bright and airy style because I feel those are the photographs that have such a classic and timeless look. They don't go out of style (but neither do the cinematic, carefully lit scenes that also tell a beautiful story). I emulate film for much of the same reason. It gives me that authentic and emotional feeling I get when looking at our old albums. I want others to experience that.
I live in the moment because they are each too precious to pass up without appreciating. I started taking photographs in 2009 as a young student as a way to hold on to these moments in time. Time spent with family and friends flies by way too quickly. I think there is something reverent about looking at photographs. They transport you back to a time that once was and they let you live those moments again and feel all the complex feelings of of that photograph from that past once more.

As a wedding photographer, I think it is so important to capture your unique day in a way that highlights everything that makes you and your future spouse YOU!
Your love is like nothing this world will ever see again, special and unique. Each small moment is fleeting. Every moment should be captured with all the beauty it holds, in the most perfect way. And for all the moments that fly past you unnoticed on your busiest and best day, a chance to see the beauty unseen.
I think there is great beauty in every single wedding I photograph. The careful selection of flowers, a beautiful cake and decorations that represent the bride and groom and their love for one another. And that is WHY it is so beautiful. It is a representation of such a unique and genuine love. Therein lies the great beauty beheld by all in attendance. Your love. Your love being celebrated by your closest friends and family, coming together to support and cherish a blossoming marriage to grow for years to come.
That is why every detail matters.
